Barry Avrich

Veteran producer and award-winning director Barry Avrich is the creative force behind Melbar Entertainment Group, one of the largest producers of non-scripted content in North America. Barry has produced and directed over 60 documentaries and filmed productions including the internationally acclaimed Made You Look, The Last Mogul, Prosecuting Evil, David Foster: Off The Record, Oscar Peterson: Black + White, The Talented Mr. Rosenberg, and has produced over twenty award-winning stage-to-screen adaptations of Broadway and Shakespeare productions including The Tempest with Christopher Plummer and King Lear with Colm Feore. Barry's best selling memoir, Moguls, Monsters and Madmen, was released in 2017. Avrich also built the world's first movie theatre in a hospital at Sick Kids in Toronto.

Mark Selby

Mark Selby is an award-winning producer specializing in live comedy/variety, long-form documentary, and high-profile events, with a focus on collaborations with the best established and emerging talent. He won two Canadian Screen Awards for Oscar Peterson: Black + White (Bell Media / Hulu) which had its world premiere at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival. Additional documentary credits include Born Hungry (Palm Springs 2024 world premiere); Without Precedent: The Supreme Life of Rosalie Abella (CBC / PBS / Hot Docs 2023 world premiere); The Talented Mr. Rosenberg (CBC / Hot Docs 2022 world premiere); and Howie Mandel: But Enough About Me (Bell Media / Peacock).
In the variety field, recent shows include annual live primetime special for the Scotiabank Giller Prize; the CBC music special FreeUp! Emancipation Day 2022; screen adaptations of three Stratford Festival productions: Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, Richard III, and Edward Albee’s Three Tall Women; and From Ontario With Love, a live all-star New Year’s Eve TV concert.
Mark is also a live comedy programmer for the Stratford Festival, and has previously programmed for Just For Laughs and produced high-rated specials for the legendary Air Farce comedy troupe.
